🟣🔴FloWeRs IreNe, MiKe, &
KaT were happily sharing a bag of sourballs in their vase when it began to shake. The vase with the BoPpLe flower cousins, in the next room, were jamming to eXtreMeLy loud rock music.

🟣🔴It shook & rattled their vase. Their sour balls bounced in all directions. Irene had 5 in her mouth & almost choked.

🟣🔴I’m pretty sure that Irene & the other 2 flowers, will be asking the Johnson family to relocate their vase space immediately…and the sour balls may be scrapped from their flower diet, at least for Irene.

🐾The art used for the feStiVaL is a painting I did for Tanya @blackcatcoffeehouse.az and hangs in their coffee shop in Arcadia. I love this coffee shop, & it is dear to me, because it’s one of the first places I hung my art when I began paiNtiNg.🩵

🐾The festival is at Shemer Art Center, another special venue to me in Arcadia, where I have participated in many of their shows.🩵

🐾There will be many artists specializing in Furry Friends Art— some is displayed in their gift shop now, if you want to stop in and pick up a unique gift.

🐾There will also be a pet parade, paw readings, crafts for the kids, music, food trucks and many talented artists.

“DaRLeNe the BuTTeRfLy” is a metal sculpture for @phoenixrotary100. She is for their auction “Take Flight 2025” this April @shemerartcenter.

🦋Darlene is wearing hand-painted, whimsical flowers on her wings, along with a few hardware flowers ( I’ve always loved hardware). Of course, she demanded her underside to be painted, so we choose pink & mauve dots to coordinate with the tops of her wings.

🦋There are 57 butterflies in 3 sizes. Darlene is small, but large enough to have lunch with.

🦋This is my 2nd year for participating, & I feel very fortunate to be a part of it.

🎅🏻GiNNy never ceLeBraTed one hoLidaY at a time. She preferred to include as many as possible. Ginny felt badly if a holiday was left out when celebrating another, so she combined them.

🎅🏻So here is Ginny not only celebrating Christmas in her striped turtleneck, but Valentine’s Day with her flashy headband, 1st Day of Spring with her tulip cookies, Halloween with her pumpkin earrings, National Jean day in her jeans, and Stamp Out Smoking in her fashion boots.

A coMMiSsioN of Walter. He is originally from Arizona, where Olivia, Mary’s granddaughter, fell in love with him on line.

🐾Olivia adopted Walter and brought him back to their home in beachy San Diego.

🐾Walter is now one year old and has a bit of an adventurous spirit. He has been kayaking, & will happily snack on In-N-Out burgers by extension of Olivia’s love for them. However, Walter’s treasure would be a good stick, whether it’s gigantic in size or a small stub. Hence, the appropriate title for his painting is: “Walter Dreams of Ocean Waves, Palm Trees, & a Good Stick!”

🐾Thanks so much, Mary, for having me paint Walter for Olivia! I love everything about this little guy, from his name, to his affinity for a good stick. HaPpiESt of HoLiDaYs!

The oThEr daY—I saw this haPPy vehicle in the Costco parking lot— so I just had to wander over and say “hey”.

➰There were 3 that traveled in this bus. All were artists, but the woman was also a nurse. They had just refueled with Costco delights and were headed to a place in Arizona to meet other decorated buses. The captain of the bus remarked in a disappointing tone, that the gathering had changed some...

➰Now there were curfews, only so many people allowed, and he didn’t care for the people that wanted to sit around the campfire and sing Kumbaya. But change happens, and we reminisce about the good old days.

➰I know I have a few from Montana, the keggers around a campfire under the starry sky, where subdivisions now reside, “hotpotting” in the natural hot springs river, where we only knew the spot as the 45th Parallel. You would sit in the warm river with intermittent rushes of cold river water, under the cool, dark sky, lit with gold stars or snowfall. Now, it has a parking lot, and strict daylight hours to hang out in the river flow. Hmmmm…

➰But back to the magic bus— there were so many artistic details inside and out, which they relayed was a continuous art project. I loved it all.

➰The three of us talked shop about art and I was happy I stopped and said “hey”.
Cheers to the 3–their continuous adventures, and living life well.
