Bauer was rescued from a Texas puppy mill by “Little White Dog Rescue” in Nebraska. The runt of the litter, this sweet mini poodle
was adopted by Grace & Chloe, and today, at three years old, he is truly living his best life.

Valentine’s Day also happens to be his birthday, which couldn’t be more fitting for such a loving pup. Bauer, like most of us, adores treats from Trader Joe’s, and anything that squeaks or rolls, is a good toy in his book. However, when it’s time to sleep, his trusty Lamb Chop, is his snuggle toy.

Thank you, Grace, for rescuing him & for asking me to paint this little valentine. He just oozes love!

Andrea Tyler Evans 🩷🤍❤️ Andrea passed on Sunday. I had no idea she had been dealing with cancer for 13 years. I met her at one of my shows and was immediately attracted to her beautiful smile and sincere love of my art. She was always so positive and full of joy.

I painted a portrait of her two rescue kitties, Shelly & Sally. She had just reached out last month wanting another of their newest addition, Sammy, who they adopted & was adding a bit of caos to their family, but still the same, was loved very much.

Andrea is a person that exemplified finding delight in each day, and as I said, I had no idea what she was dealing with.

Besides showing her kindness to everyone, she was savvy in business & the Co-Owner & Chief Executive of the well respected Front Doors Magazine & The Red Book. She was also the recipient of countless awards.

Andrea, as I remember you, it will be your generous smile, your kindness, & support that you gave me. You will be greatly missed.

Here is the quirky woman & story that won the vote for me to create from my collage. It was tough for me, because i usually draw my quirky women in colored pencil & gouache. So I re-did her a few times. STORY:
💄This is TuLa GoOdwiN. As you can see, Tula is a beauty aficionado. She believes that adhering long lashes draws attention to her Tula face, wishfully for Tim Sanders (her crush).

💄Also, Tula may be a bit overboard on her devil pink lip liner, but again, she presumes the bolder line & contrast, shout out “this babe could be yours”.

💄And the grape popsicle…no reason to be in this painting, it just is.

🦆A coMMiSsion of baby Billie. Billie, as a duck egg, was found by Shelly in her yard. The other two eggs weren’t as lucky.

🦆Shelly took Billie, as they say, under her wing. Shelly googled & learned everything about a duck.

🦆Billie hatched, & because of the bird flu, there was nowhere to take her. Shelly did her best being a duck parent. They even watched videos of ducks in the middle of the night so she would be acclimated to birds when introduced to a flock.

🦆After deeply caring for her for a couple of weeks, Shelly found a farm with other ducks that would take her in. She could have visiting privileges whenever she would like.

🦆However, shortly after Billie settled into her new home, an animal found the ducks and a couple were found the next day. Billie wasn’t found. Although, I believe, Billie is settled in at an exclusive resort, surrounded by inflatable ducks, & is living happily ever after!🩵💚

🦆Thanks so much, Shelly, for asking me to paint this sweet duck. I know how much she meant to you in such a short time. You were an amazing duck parent!

🌊I kind of feel like this unfunctional cat today— (slide right to see roommate photos) I just had an incredible -packed to the brim-weekend with my old roommate Marie, my southern hostess. We were roommates in our 20’s in Atlanta, Georgia. Just beginning our independent lives. Mine so far away from my beloved Montana, in a city where I asked for an iced tea & it was loaded with sugar. (Little did I know, every tea was ‘sweet tea’). I also quickly learned how to decipher a southern accent.

💛This weekend, was a trip to Mill Valley & the surrounding area— of course Sonoma- wine tasting & cool shops, the beach, a concert, comedy show in the park in Mill Valley, ceviche, Russian River, 4 hour hike, the best Chicken Salad, Sausalito by the water, and a cool German bar up the mountain-a solo guitar player included, and where Marie is determined to make board game night on Thursdays, a standing room only event.

💛Besides our packed-filled days, there were unending, deep conversations. There was the knowing of a true friendship of solid caring about each other’s sadness, joys, grief, triumphs, passions, beauty secrets, & love. These two aged 20-something-year-olds, shared stories of their evolution of this adventure called life.

Thank you Marie, for being you. So much love for you.🩷❤️

🍅 On a side note- Marie introduced me to the southern tomato sandwich back then. Enough mayonnaise that it oozes out the side of your mouth on white bread.
